Head of Legal – Broad Horizon (vacature gesloten) –

From the Head Office in Amsterdam, the Head of Legal function will provide legal support with regard to the buy-and-build-strategy and to the existing business of Broad Horizon.

A sharp legal mind is needed to assist the business in commercial negotiations and find solutions to commercial problems, to assist in executing the growth-strategy and to structure the outside and in-house legal processes. The Head of Legal is a core member of the Broad Horizon Group Finance team and works across the scope of all Broad Horizon operating companies. She/he is responsible for advising and coordinating all legal, compliance affairs around the buy-and-build-strategy and the IT day-to-day business. The Head of Legal will coordinate the work of internal and external contributors (including local law firm partners), balancing the needs of a high-growth entrepreneurial company with the need to set robust solutions that reduce legal and compliance risk. She/he supports the wider international expansion. The Head of Legal reports to the CFO.


• A minimum of 10 years’ experience both as a lawyer at a reputable Dutch law firm and in-house experience within corporates;
• Particular expertise in the area of structuring Corporate Law, Commercial Law (contracting), Compliance (GDPR, KYC, Regulatory) and experience with legal risk management processes; Corporate Governance and M&A is a plus;
• Experience in engaging with and influencing senior leadership and have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner;
• Great analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems and excellent cross functional collaboration skills;
• Someone who exhibits sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and a track record of taking ownership, leading legal analysis, and influencing results;
• A high degree of organization and an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
